Congratulations on recognizing that you need software to help you get organized and to handle your accounting needs.  There are lots of packages available and I’m sure you know some of the very-recognizable names of the best-selling ones:  Peachtree, Microsoft Money, Quickbooks, MYOB Business Essentials, NetSuite Small Business, Cougar Mountain, Simply Accounting, DacEasy, Bottom Line Accounting, Quicken Home and Business, and many, many more.

The person most qualified to advise you on which one is right for you is your accountant.  He knows your business.  He may have a preference for the features and functionality of a particular package and since you’ll be feeding him the reports and information to prepare your tax returns and other reports, you’ll likely want to give strong consideration to his recommendations. 

I like Quickbooks or Simply accounting. Quickbooks is the most popular one.
